The staff at King of Kings Early Learning Center are big-hearted, patient and passionate educators that love what they do and are committed to preparing each student for kindergarten and beyond.

Mrs. Joan Skare
ELC Director

Mrs. Skare is the heart of this school, greeting students and parents at drop-off and pickup. She makes sure every child is cared for, every parent’s question is answered, plans all the events, inspires our teachers and she still has time to spread her magic smile and hugs around to each classroom every day.

Mrs. Skare holds an Elementary Education degree from University of Missouri-Columbia, a Masters of Education from Webster University and is a Missouri-certified Elementary teacher. Mrs. Skare taught second grade in the NKC School District for 30 years and has numerous hours in classroom management and curriculum instruction.

Mrs. Leigh Greene
Teacher
Mrs. Greene is the most passionate and energetic preschool teacher you will ever meet. She cares deeply about each of her students and celebrates each of their unique abilities, meeting them exactly where they are. Mrs. Greene incorporates her humor, creativity and love for Jesus into each and every day at school.

Mrs. Greene received an Elementary Education Degree from University of Louisiana-Lafayette and is a Missouri-certified Elementary teacher. She has been a teacher at King of Kings ELC since 2008 and has worked with NKC School District for the past 10 years as a summer camp instructor and Parent Educator.

Mrs. Katie Lostroh
Teacher

Our talented Mrs. Lostroh brings her fresh ideas, dedication and innovation to her class daily as she inspires big imaginations. Making sure children are engaged socially, she incorporates group games and plays with the children at their level. Mrs. Lostroh’s heart for teaching and infectious spirit impress parents and staff alike.

Mrs. Lostroh earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Central Missouri University and is a Missouri-certified Early Education teacher with experience in many preschool classrooms. She has been a teacher at King of Kings ELC since 2021.

Mrs. Amanda Haesemeier
Associate Teacher

Mrs. Haesemeier is an enthusiastic teacher that loves each of her students.  Her smile, energy and care is brought to the classroom each day. With a background in science, she incorporates STEM activities and fun into her daily lessons to inspire curiosity in learning.  

Mrs. Haesemeier graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a degree in Biology.  She found her career niche in working with preschoolers. She has worked with children for the last five years and with King of Kings ELC since 2021. Mrs. Haesemeier loves to read and lives with her husband and dog, Albus, in the Northland.

Mrs. Stephanie Stapleton
ELC Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Stapleton helps to keep our school running behind the scenes here at King of Kings ELC. Enrollment, registration, tuition payments and admin assistance are her main focus. You might also spot Mrs. Stapleton helping in the classrooms throughout the week.

Mrs. Stapleton holds an Art History degree from University of Kansas and has worked in higher-education for much of her career. She lives with her husband and two kids in the Northland and enjoys walking her dog, swimming and reading.
